Comunicar Journal

Grupo Comunicar is a group of teachers and journalists from Andalusia (Spain) who, since 1988, have carried out research, produced teaching materials and instructed teachers, children, teenagers, parents and the population at large in the critical use of the media in order to promote a more just, equal and democratic society and, thus, citizens who are more active and responsible with regard to their interactions with the various communication and information technologies. As a non-profit making body, Grupo Comunicar promotes media literacy through publications, murals and campaigns, among its many activities. COMUNICAR, Media Education Research Journal, is the flagship of this project.
